In Luke 6:27-38, Jesus presents us with perhaps His most challenging teaching.

“Love your enemies,” He tells us—words that still stop me in my tracks today.

As your Archbishop, I’ve witnessed how this radical call transforms lives when embraced.

To love those who hurt us isn’t weakness; it’s divine strength flowering in human hearts.

When we bless those who curse us and pray for those who mistreat us, we participate in God’s own merciful nature.

This isn’t easy—I struggle with it daily myself—but in choosing this path, we find a freedom and peace the world cannot give.
